Why choose Proton?
Many writers and editors are not scientists, and many scientists are not writers. Countless writers and editors fear science, and countless scientists fear writing.
This is unfortunate because good writing is essential to understanding and promoting science. Without clear, simple and logical writing—free of complexity and jargon—the scientist’s message is often ignored.
By choosing Proton you receive professional structural editing, copy-editing, proofreading, manuscript assessments, ghostwriting, writing and copywriting services, combined with scientific expertise. This is a rare and beneficial combination for your scientific and technical writing needs. Your writing will be clear and appealing; your message will be read and understood.
“My aim is to make your writing the best it can be. I will work with you, listen to your needs, and try my hardest
to make your vision a reality. Sometimes this means I will have to start from
scratch, again. But that is part of my work, because good writing requires
rewriting—and more rewriting.”
Ramy Christopher Tadros, director of Proton Writing Consultants Pty Ltd
An English scientist, Magnus Pyke, once said, "If it squirms, it's biology. If it stinks, it's chemistry. If it doesn't work, it's physics. And if you can't understand it, it's mathematics." This is the world of science; it's also the world of Ramy Christopher Tadros.
Writing about science, editing articles about science, teaching about nonfiction writing—these are the typical activities that engage Tadros as the director of Proton Writing Consultants Pty Ltd. And although he has also studied medical science at university and researched and written parliamentary documents for the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, his life has involved other pursuits besides science. For many years, he toiled as an analyst at one of the most respected statistical bodies in the world, the Australian Bureau of Statistics. But, come to think of it, this is still connected with science.
Tadros, in keeping with the science and writing themes, had his first nonfiction book published in December 2010. And on 9 April 2011 his book, Understanding a Wager, became a number-one, best-selling e-book on Amazon UK (recreation and games category).
So whether it squirms or stinks or doesn't work, Tadros has probably written about it—and can probably help you to write about it.
